Trustee @ Devon Wildlife Trust

Our Board of Trustees plays a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the charity and ensuring that it is run properly and effectively. Trusteeship is a voluntary role where people who care about Devon’s wildlife work together to provide strong leadership for the charity and help it to achieve its vision of a Devon rich in wildlife, for everyone and valued by all. Meetings will be in the Exeter & Dartmoor area or virtual meetings, with an increase in hybrid meetings in future.

This volunteer will provide events-specific strategic and delivery expertise on the Board, and will oversee the Head of Events at Bi Pride UK. We are at a critical juncture as a relatively new organisation and rapidly adapted our delivery work in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Having cancelled the September flagship event, we are now in a position to focus on growing the events team and exploring new avenues for creating Pride spaces (both physical and virtual) in 2021 and beyond.

This volunteer will take the lead on maintaining and managing Bi Pride UK’s financial systems and controls, keeping the organisation’s financial records, and managing its accounts, including preparing budgets, financial projections, issuing invoices and ensuring their payment, producing accounts and reports. The Treasurer manages the Finance Officer and works closely with the web team within the Comms department to support with the online merchandise shop.

Become a Podcast Producer

‘WADUP’ is a collective of young people and audio producers. We exist to unlock audio storytelling for young people everywhere so they can speak for themselves about what matters to them. WADUP producers get free 1-2-1 coaching with experienced audio producers to create their first podcast episodes. They also work with producers across the world through WADUP story cells.

The theme of WADUP Season 02 is ”Stories of Connection’.
